How do we promote more ‘active’ travel?
This seminar focuses on a current research project being run through the UH Business School exploring the adoption of access based transport practices by consumers. Maurizio Catulli has been exploring the opportunities offered by new economic models of ownership using PSS (Product Service Systems). Instead of making capital investments, products can be loaned when needed with a fully supported service network and when no longer needed, they can be re-loaned to a new user thus promoting sustainability.
Maurizio will be using the example of his recent REBUS project, employing this model for the pram sector and it can also be applied to transport through the car clubs model.
