Ross joined Transport for London in 2006 as a graduate transport planner and in 2007 completed a placement in the School Travel Plan team before joining the team (now the Education and Training team) permanently in 2008. Ross currently manages the Youth Engagement and Transition strand after managing the London STAR Accreditation scheme for five years. His main duties include managing a number of youth transport projects to educate young people in London to make more active journeys, as safely as possible.
In 2008, Ross joined the national sustainable travel organisation - Modeshift as a volunteer board member and in 2010 became vice-chair. In 2011 he took over as National Chair and has led the organisation for over three years, expanding its services and national reach.
Prior to working in transport Ross completed a Human Geography Degree at the University of Gloucestershire and whilst working for TfL he completed a Masters in Transport Planning and Management.
